It started out to be 1 chick and 1 duckling that were given to my DD when attending the local stockyard.... From there we got two more hens since it was going to be a while before the chick started to lay....

DH wanted fresh eggs... So I got some more hens and then more and more then some chicks, some ducks, some turkeys, and now geese....

I'm up to 16 hens, and 4 roosters, 4 ducks, 3 turkeys, and 2 geese... and I just ordered 8 more chicks and a friend has 2 duck eggs in a bator for me....

Do I need professional help or will it go away by itself....

Oh and did I mention the 4 pygmy goats?? 3 bred does ready to pop anyday and a billy that needs to go so we don't have anymore babies??

Aaaggghhhh!!

There there now, it will all be over, hold my silkie for a while! OH you would like to take her home, sure! That would be fine. I have an incubator you can borrow so you don't have to wait on your neighbor! And let me show you pictures of my Pygmy goat ready to pop too. We can help you! have you heard about the small animal sale in ____ town? I bet they have just what you need!

I WISH I had all that you have lol. My DH won't let me have even half of what you have over there. Addiction? What addiction? I have never heard of an addiction to chickens lol. Just becasue I'm itching to order right now even though I actually have to wait till mid april does not mean I'm addicted. And just becasue I am still trying extremly hard to get DH to let me have just one little pygmy goat does not mean I'm addicted. Oh and he knows that I would actually come home with more then one lol. There is no addiction and even if there was it will never get better or go away.

I knew you all would understand the compulsion....

DH is ready to strangle me over more and more animals....

I believe he secretly likes them as much as I do but is too manly to admit it....

He has his limits.... DS wants a pot-bellied pig and DD wants a pony.... We only have 5 acres and some of the fencing needs to be fixed....

DH grew up in the city and I in suburbia so living on a farm in KY is a dream come true.....

Don't worry... when you have to move out of your house and move the chickens into it.... then you'll have a 'problem'.
