Help! I think my chicken might be sick!

Yup, exactly. They seem to just know, which is kind of impressive given that all that crumble food looks boringly the same!

I'm afraid I don't know what's wrong with her - the nutritional improvements will hopefully help though. Unfortunately, being on scratch for 6 months is a little like us living on Charms lollipops for a few years. Things are bound to go wrong with our skin and elsewhere. I feel badly that I fed scratch to roos that appeared on my doorstep out of nowhere many years ago when I didn't know anything about chickens and the feed store told me to feed scratch. I had them for 4 months and that's what they ate (at which time I finally was able to find them a good home as I had no chicken accommodations at the time) - their diet improved then.

Ok, thanks you guys!

I am getting her the layer food tomorrow after school. Hopefully things will improve soon. Thanks so much you guys!

Great news!
The black bump looks like it's a pigment thing...My Black and White Leghorn mix hen has spots on her legs too.
The red one's could just be that she scratched herself on something.
Wire isn't good for their sensitive footies...they're more likely to get a cut which can cause even more problems.
Her cage looks fine...
Her nails definitely need a trim though.

I just got some layer feed today and she seems to like it.

So hopefully her health will improve.

Again, thank you so much everyone for helping me.
