Aww, that's sweet. Unfortunately, breeding one frizzle to another frizzle results in bad feathering and poor health.
Huckleberry is the name for wild blueberries. If Willow is a girl, and we get a boy out of our babies, you are welcome to him. If Willow is a boy and we get several blue girls, you may have one also. We know we can't keep them all. We just want, at least, a pair and are happy to help you have a pair also.
We actually live in Wilson, NC now, so we are not super far away! We did live right over the state line in TN, 30 min from Gatlinburg.
The original plan was four EE for eggs since we live in town. Then I discovered that our county and City have no poultry ordinances. We ended up with 63 birds. We got down to 34 before chick days started up again.
We have: standard- 6 EE, 2 Welsummer,1 Marans, 2 Buttercups, 1 Turken
Bantam- 2 EE, 5 OEGB, 6 Cochin, 4 d'Uccle, 1 black rosecomb, 1 sebright, 1 Silkie
I know I'm forgetting someone though.
Every bird we have came from TSC. We feed them All Flock feed so the roos don't get too much calcium.
No, I don't think you are a crazy stalker. I have probably been seen that way myself. I am an elementary school teacher. (Art) and am the kind of person who may strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere.
Awe! So sweet! Looks just like my "Willow" (even though my daughter now insists we change the name to "Huckleberry" in hopes of it being a twin to that incredibly handsome "Blueberry"). Willow HATES to be held or touched or anything. She/he doesn't fight, but the cries are oh so pitiful and seriously breaks my heart. I'm going to just be patient because their lives must be stressful during this time. I'm certain Willow will come around in her/his own time. They sure are cute as can be! Did you see the 5 adorable chicks that @tn_artist has? These chicks are so adorable! I'll admit that I'm a little worried about Willow having the tattered looking feathers, but I'm grateful to know what's going on, and what's behind it, if it comes to that. They're seriously cute no matter whatView attachment 2064836Last one this is violet the one that looks like yours!
I'm so jealous! I've wanted to add some Polish for some time now. I can't imagine how many I'd have if I had one or two of every breed that I really want. That is seriously a gorgeous Polish though and I love the color! I'm curious to see what it ends up looking like once it's done with the juvenile molt. I'm sure it will be gorgeous! Thank you for sharing these pictures!View attachment 2064823My polish! Don’t know if this will be a roo or a pullet or even what color. I don’t think it’s going to be a black with white crest like I thought. People tell me they change color but that seems like a lot
Poor Bonnie! It's a good thing you're so attentive and are caring for them so well! That's a lucky chick! What breed is Bonnie? Clyde does look like a pullet! Is she a Barred Rock? Standard or bantam? It's so funny when my Barred bantam cochin cockerel goes to the fence and tries to intimidate my Barred Rock Cockerel. The cochin looks like a "Mini Me" to the barred rock. The cochin will have his hackles standing tall and the barred rock just kind of plays along but doesn't even bother to raise his hackles. Thankfully they can't get to each other because they are definitely obsessed with each other. When the barred bantam cochin was a chick, he had a perfect "C" on the top of his head, so his name is "Carlos".I’m loving this thread! Poor Bonnie. Are you giving him something to help with his eye? (I think you are right about him being a boy)I’m loving this thread! View attachment 2064805This is Bonnie who I now think is a roo lol. I swear I got a bad batch this one has an eye infection.

It does seem like a lot of white, but I bet it will be a white crested black. Our black Cochin had so much white, I thought she was going to be silver laced like the other four. It took a while for the white to go completely, but it did all go.View attachment 2064823My polish! Don’t know if this will be a roo or a pullet or even what color.
