HELP IDENTIFY PRINTS WHERE DEAD CHICKEN FOUND!

DIL just lost a hen tonight to a possum, Son caught it in the act and shot it. Told him his roost was too low. Maybe now he'll move it up some.

Track could be possum or raccoon - can't tell from the picture. From the look of the remains, a whole family of raccoons had a feast. A lone possum would not have eaten much.

I'd say a coon. Coons always wash their food before eating it. I hope he killed the chicken before "washing" it.

I am sorry for your loss. You might should go coon hunting.

It's definitely a opossum. Saying that from experience. Other night I saw pacing tracks around my coop and looked at my trap and a opossum was in it. Looks EXACTLY like the pics. They have slender fingers. Coons fingers are a little bigger.
