Of the 3 recent pics, first does look like a CCL. 2nd is definitely an Easter Egger. I'm not sure about the 3rd....
Thank you! Is Easter Egger a general term that is used for a mut, or does it mean there is a particular breed necessary to make the mix-breed?

Easter egger is a mix specifically bred to lay colored eggs (the goal is usually blue or greenish) so the mix has to include a blue egg layer. Typically Ameraucana or Araucana. Sometimes Crested Cream Legbar. Some Easter Eggers can be bred together and their offspring will lay blue. So typical traits you see in an EE are muffs, beards, slate or sometimes green legs, a crest on occasion.

Being mixes, the looks will vary but that's part of the fun in my opinion.

That clears up so much. I appreciate that. We’re excited about our EE and CCL to see what color they will lay.

Oooo nice! What makes an olive egger other than it has to lay olive eggs? This is a mix breed as well?
Yes! To make an olive egger you need a dark brown layer mixed with a blue layer. I think mine are Black Copper Marans mixed with Crested Cream Legbars (judging based on coloring, feathered feet, and crest)

Well, that is just awesome! We have a friend that is going to give us one Saphire Olive Egger. Whatever that is we're looking forward to it as well. Chicken math is real, not a joke.
