Help identifying Coturnix colors, please

I can read what the quaillady has to say all day.

Just a wealth of knowledge, especially helpful to a newbie like myself.

Thanks so much!

It looks like a Manchurian Golden from the computer, just lighter stripes on the back. I would like to see a pic when it's older. The Manchurians come in many varieties as well as they are usually housed with the Jumbo Browns to get rid of that 25% lethality in the egg.

I think we all just make up the names up as we go along

I think I'm going to stick with the generic "Pretty Bird", until they grow up!

.

i was on ebay the other day and there was a man who was selling coturnix eggs . he described them as coming from "jumbo or large browns ,dark browns like the original British Range, and lighter straw colored ones"... he said there were so many names for the different colors that he was just going to say it that way....lol
People reeeeeeally need to get together and organize the Coturnix mess...
