My son's 1st grade class tried to hatch duck eggs in an incubator. Only one lonely duck hatched so his teacher had to buy a companion duckling. When the class was done with their lesson they asked if anyone would be able to give them a forever home and we said yes. The duckling that hatched in class is named Quackers and it is black with a little yellowish cream color on its chest. The lady that gave the egg to class had both Cayuga and another type of black colored duck but the teacher didn't remember the name. The other is named Peep and it is yellow with a tannish colored face and stands more erect. The teacher thought that maybe it was a runner duck but isn't really sure . Any help identifying their breed would be great. We want to make sure that they have everything that their specific breed needs.
