We bought six chicks from Tractor Supply about 6 weeks ago that are supposed to be pullets but we’re worried that we have a rooster. Is there any way to tell if it is a rooster? It has been getting progressively more aggressive toward the others. The breed doesn’t match the ones we were purchasing either. We think it may be a Rhode Island White but not positive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like a white leghorn or maybe a California white but it looks more like a leghorn then a Rhode island to me. But looking at the size of the Breast you might have gotten a Cornish cross how old is it? And is it bigger in size then the other chicks you got?

Thanks for the quick response! It’s 6 weeks old. Yes, it’s definitely bigger than the other chicks we got.
