Please help i am trying to locate nice quality silkies for showing without cutting off my arm for payment. I been searchig it seems like for weeks now with no luck. I am looking for black blue buff or white. I dont really care if they are started or chicks doesnt matter. I just dont have a fortune to put out on birds, and i dont want to get them from a hatchery. I wouldn't go the hatchery route...the amount of work and space needed to breed them up would make it very hard...good show silkies are costly! they seem to be fairly popular at the moment...might I suggest OEGB!
We have very nice white silkies...we are in Pa. We could do chicks for you. Our hen went broody last month, just hatched some chicks, so as soon as she start laying we could sit some eggs for you, but I am not sure how far you are from us. Thanks, Nicole
Hi there happyheart! If you know what to look for, it doesn't matter the source of your chicks. Not like they come with registration papers. It does help to start with the best birds you can afford, but that's not a guarantee the babies will be show winners. Sent you a PM.
