HELP! Injured Chicken! Hurt neck?

@Wyorp Rock

Poor little thing ❤️

Do you have access to a vet? That would be the best option.

Does she open her eyes at all? Is she pooping?
She does open her eyes. She’s pooping and still laying eggs.

I’m going to call around vet clinics today. We live far out in the country.

Can you look through her feathers for any puncture wounds or bruising of the skin. Injuries can hide under all the fluff.

She may have been squeezed by the predator and suffered nerve or internal damage or even ran herself into to something trying to get away causing trauma.

I would focus on hydration, give her a little sugar water. And keep working on her eating too.

She may still be in shock. Sometimes it can take a few days to start seeing improvement. It really just depends on the extent of her injuries.

Yes!! We just had HUGE improvement!

So when she lays on her left side she moves her neck and is able to hold her neck up. When she lays on her right side, she can’t. However, she just moved her left leg, but not her right!! So I feel like we’re actually making progress which makes me super happy! I may sound crazy, but I’ve been praying she pulls through! ❤️

Yesterday, I found that my chickens were attacked 😭 3 out of the 5 survived… however, 1 of the 3 is seriously injured. She does not have any bleeding or flesh wounds. I found her laying flat on her side still breathing. We picked her up and put her in a crate with hay and have been feeding her with a syringe (food and water). She has no motor function of her legs and does not move her neck it stays laying down. She can still move her wings. Can anyone please help? Any advice? How to fix her?
She might have a broken neck. If you feel she is in too much pain, put her down. Or I can suggest that miracles do happen. I once had a hen that was attacked by a python and had her neck punctured. For a few weeks she was making weird noises when she breathed and always had her mouth open. But it is at least a year on and she is still alive. Her wound has healed and she gives us beautiful eggs each day. So don't worry, I will pray for her Tonight. Keep in touch.
