I have a 10 week old (female I think) pekin. I hatched her from an incubator. I only have two other pekin (her parents) I've tried several times to let her go with them and my male attacks her. I though he was just showing dominance but he pins her down and will not let up. She's been in a wire cage in their run so they can be exposed to each other and he still attacks every time I let her go. I'm not sure what to do. I want her to be free but I'm scared he's going to kill her. Any suggestions ?

I would cage her in their coop at night and let her out in a pen that is close to theirs or just on the other side of a fence from them. I have had good luck with that. Your situation may be different. But it is worth a try.

It would be very helpful if you had at least one other duckling. They need to be with their own kind. The little one really needs to be kept separate until full sized...around 4 months of age so he/she can defend itself against the drake as needed.

I agree, get more ducklings. They are very sad when they have none of their own kind around. I kept mine separate in an a frame made with wood & chicken wire during the day, so they could get to know each other with no one getting hurt.

She's been in a wire cage in the other ducks run for a few weeks. She has a duckling with her that's about 5 weeks old for company. When I let them out the male doesn't bother the ducking but he attacks her relentlessly every time
