my chicks are EE's labeled as americuna from ideal
they are about 4 weeks old
their poo is more on the solid side and the pullets seem to have to push hard to get it out.
they ruffle up and lift their wings and and look like they are making an effort.
they are in a hardware mesh brooder that that i have straw bedding down.
they always have fresh water and starter feed available.
i have been letting them eat grass and weeds as the brooder can be moved outside.
the eat and drink all the time they are all active and alert.
temperature outside is low 70's and the get plenty sun and have a covered area to go in if they get cold.
they are in the garage at night out of the elements.
but their poo is hard today, and yesterday it was more moist.
they have had access to the grass and seeds for a week, this (hard poop started at around noon today).
