She might be molting as well, so I would give her some vitamins with a little egg daily. Let us know how her lower belly and crop feel.

White tail has passed away please do a small prayer for her passing she will be loved and missed she was a great member of the flock and family my heart is grieving for the fact that she is no longer with our family. she was an amazing chicken and I hope she is in heaven and at peace.

Will do. Sorry for your loss. I am glad that she is not suffering. I don’t know if you would be interested in getting a necropsy done by your state vet to see what was wrong with her, but that can be done if you keep her body cold (wrapped in the refrigerator, but not frozen.) So sorry for your loss. Chickens have a way of hiding their illnesses from us until its often too late for us to help. I'm sure you did all you could.
