Help! Little yellow rice like things crawling all over my hens!!!

I have that for the dogs, so i practically just bath them with it? Or use it like a revolution tap on cats? Where you get a dropper and just stick it on them.
Do I put it in there mouth?

I agree with the lice they will look like rice. I think mites are much smaller like very fine pepper in either red or black with the eggs being off white attached to the feathers.
Sevin dust should do the trick but use the less concentrated version. I think 5% but not sure.

Ok, do you know if people can get the lice? Or worse, my dogs and cats?
And can I use the seven and the ivermecton together or does it have to be separate?

Its just a regular bird dusting that you get at the pet store, wont seven just end up hurting them? What if they peck at it?

No idea what pet store bird dusting stuff would be other than just expensive sand.

Sevin dust 5% is what you can also use on your food crops to kill pests. I just shake it all over the birds, or put their body in a bag with the stuff and shake the bag so it coats them in it.

As for the ivromec, just put those drops onto their skin on their back. I've never done it though.

I would do one or the other.

As for lice, they are species specific. Birds get bird lice, humans get human lice, dogs get dog lice.

Oh phew, thank you very much.
Ill try the Seven dust first and then do the Ivermectin a few weeks after just to be safe. Do you know how long I should wait?
And I really hate to make this joke, but you know the instant shake and bake bags for chicken and pork? Why was that the first thing I thought of when you said to put them in a bag and shake XD Haha sorry, it was a good joke for a stressful situation.
Again, thank you!!!

Well, it would almost be like shake and bake chicken! Just minus the bake part!

I dusted three times, 10 days apart to get rid of all the bugs, and cleaned out the coop litter.

Lice are no big deal, it happens with chickens, and often can come in via wild birds.

Oh ok, we have a group of eight crows that hang out in our yard and the neighbors yard, they probably got it from them.
I normally don't mind the crows as they chase the hawks away, but its good to know its not the end of the world.
Yes, a shake without bake bag haha.
Thanks again!

Is this some cruel anti-asian racist joke? She says it looks like rice and then you all start talking about lice.
Just kidding

Ok, I was hearing people rave about sevin. I got so excited about it (fly problems) - until I went to get some at the store. Reading the back it says basically, don't get on your skin, ingest, or breath this stuff...how is that safe to put on chickens skin or on your food??? I was so disappointed. I don't know what I am missing.
