Help me decide how to worm my flock?

@dawg53
do you happen to know why the dose for chickens is so much higher than the dose for goats? it just surprises me. not questioning your numbers, just super curious.

Chickens are walking stomachs, they eat more and excrete more. The wormer doesnt stay long in their digestive tract and is poorly absorbed and mostly excreted. That's why a higher dose is needed in chickens. Goats have a slower metabolism requiring less dosage because it stays in the digestive tract longer.
Another good reason to worm birds frequently especially if your soil is warm and moist most of the time.
