I got FBCM chicks from Deb's birds last spring, and they're lovely. There turned out to be 3 roos in the bunch. One appears to be perfect ...clearly he's the guy to breed next spring.
I want to keep a spare also, and in reading over the French standards, I see that the other two have flaws; one has too much red on the breast but great feathered feet, and the other one has allowable red but hardly any foot feathering.
Which of these two should be my spare??
My goal is to maintain the traditional standard as much as possible.
Any opinions from people more experienced in this are appreciated
