For any future reference, if I say something that can be taken more than one way, and one of those ways sounds really shitty... I meant the other one.

I had no idea they hang out in trees!

I lost one of my older hens yesterday. It wasn't unexpected, but I was sad to see her go.

Thanks Mad. She had a good life. Summer will be hard on some of my older hens this year. I have an 8 year old, and 5 that are closer to 6. I've already plugged in their fans.

I feel like the do. But maybe it's just that they are so big.
I'm trying to stay away from the big breeds now, and am just hatching bantams. It remains to be seen how my little cochin girls will do with hot weather. Last year they were babies.
