She passed .. I tried so hard to save her.. she was my favorite little girl
This has really got me upset . I wish I could of seen the signs earlier but I didn't know what to look for .. I'll miss her so much .. I'm going to bury in my yard today .. thank you all for trying to help save her ..

thank you all for your help .. Unfortunately Little Girl passed away last night from botulism.. ( I guess God needed another angel in his garden ) I went first thing this morning to buy activated charcoal in case of emergencies.. I would like to know if I suspect a duck might have botulism if I could give them the charcoal before the symptoms get worse or do I have to wait ? Also I have a 1 month old baby duckling who belongs to me is having trouble walking today is botulism contagious ( my baby wasn't around the duck that was sick ..what are the signs I should look for before it's to late ?

That’s beautiful. No botulism isn’t contagious but I’d be concerned about the other ducks who live there and what she may have gotten into. You don’t think someone would poison them intentionally? As for your duckling most likely a niacin deficiency you can go to TSC an get Durvet liquid BComplex and start your duckling on it ASAP. Also pick up some mealworms then put this b complex over top of it. 1 ml a day this Durvet will say injectable but we give it orally. What feed are you feeding your duckling?

Purina flock raiser crumbles ..blue berries, raspberries, peas, corn and I bought nutritional yeast seasoning 160% niacin in it .. she loves meal worms & uncooked rolled oats ..

Remember a few days ago I was concerned about little girls eyes & I sent in a picture? I just felt something wasn't right with her .. sunday I went up to feed her & I have been taking fresh water for then to drink because the water in the pond was low & a lot of algae.. sunday i noticed she was clumsy and fell over a few times but didn't think it was anything bad ( she was also laying eggs she has 3 eggs she laid ) yesterday around 6:00 I went to feed them & the drakes were all standing around her & none if them would leave her side to get treats that's when I noticed she was paralyzed ( at this point she could still drink on her own ) I found a box & put her and took her to my house and sent a message what to do to help her here .. within 20 mins of getting her home her neck went down on the ground so I propped her neck up while I was getting the Epsom salt ready & took a photo of her to show her on here because someone wanted to see her condition she was already dead in the photo I sent she was dead it happened that fast .. I bought the activated charcoal today and went to the pond to tell her flock that she didn't make it .. I noticed a dead iguana near where I found little girl yesterday .. the pond is a retention pond so the water is not good plus it's very hot here in south Florida so I suspect it was the pond water or the dead iguana that made little girl deadly sick ..

Probably true that’s so sad. Your a blessing to be caring for them. I wish you could take them to the Muscovy sanctuary so they would be protected.

After we are off of our lockdown in south florida .. Eunice ( the owner of the duck sanctuary) is going to send her helper natalia who lives in loxahatchee to help me catch some of them and relocate them to their forever home which would be with natalia .. I have already saved angel & drogo from that nasty pond but they had angel wing & couldn't protect themselves from danger , I had them at my home with a great set up & are the parents to my duckling pebbles .. but the landlord didn't want a male & female duck on the property because he thought there would be millions of ducks from just 2 ducks & pebbles was the only duckling that hatched & angel rejected her 2 lay on the 2 eggs that didn't hatch .. so natalia adopted them & she wants to adopt the remaining ducks at that retention which are a total of 11 .. ps do you think i should try to incubate the 3 eggs that little girl had in her nest, before she passed away ?
