I posted here about two weeks ago, with pictures and I’m coming back Because they have grown a lot and I’m wondering if anyone can give me a guess of what these two chickens might be- gender wise.
The buff Orpington is so beautiful and I’m hoping she’s a girl, same with the barred rock. We only have three chickens so I’m hoping they are all girls as it would suck to have to get rid of one or more of them. We live in LA, no roosters allowed :(

I know they are still young, I believe they are about 5-7 weeks old at this point. (Not sure of their exact birth date.)

Please have a guess!

Edit! Sorry I wasn’t clear. These two chickens are not from the same mother and father! The barred rock had a 100% male father, and mother unsure. Not sure about the buff Orpington.

The Buff Orpington looks like a pullet, I'm not sure about the Barred Rock.
Thank you!! I appreciate your guess! I hope your right! Do you think the barred rock could be a male? It doesn’t act aggressive it’s actually pretty docile and sweet and the buff acts like more of the leader of them. I hope she’s a girl lol!

I'm very good at this!

My educated guesses at sexing chickens are 100%, but they usually take at least 6 months.

If the Barred Rock is a hen, shouldn't they be sex linked?

This chick is offspring of my Buff Orpington roo and Barred Rock Hen. I was under the impression that their offspring could be sexed by sight but I'm a little confused with this one. It is definitely a unique color but it doesn't look like it will be barred (or at least not like the mother looked when she was a fuzzybutt). Am I safe to assume it is a she? Or am I completely off?

This is the father King Louis.

    This is the mother Esme.

    And here is the chick.

According to the chicken color calculator the males will be black BARRED, the females will be solid black. Will probably take a little while before you can tell if the chick will be barred or not.

Here is the link to the calculator
