I have some chicks that need names! We were trying to stick with snack themed names.. but our creativity fizzled out after just two! 😅

We're thinking Baby #1 is a rooster & we KNOW Baby #2 is! lol

Here are pictures of the ones that need names & the two that are already named.

(I have 4 more, but they're so hard to tell apart, I'll have to wait until they can have a leg band.)

Ah, naming chicks is one of the most fun, but most difficult parts of raising them, at least in my experience. 🤭 If you're going for a snack theme, why not get a notebook and start a list of all the different snack items you like to eat? Then you can 'test them out' on your chicks and see what fits for any of them, and what you definitely know you aren't going to want to be calling them for years!

As far as sexing them, Silkies are notoriously difficult to sex and you may not know for sure on them for many more weeks. How old are they? Babies number 2 and 3 strike me as male, but knowing their ages will help to confirm or deny that!

They're about a month old! I got them this time last month from TSC, so hard to say exactly how old they are. 😉

Ah, TSC babies! That does make it hard to be sure of their age. Well, I'd say tentatively that 2 and 3 are males for now, but I'm definitely not 100% sure on that. Good luck picking out their names! ❤️
You know, #3 does tend to act like your typical rooster. It's very rowdy & the first to check out something new. I'll have to keep an eye on it. 😮‍💨 When will they invent chickens that are all female? Lmao!
