Help me please! My poor duck!!!!

Oh my that is sad :(
I have not had one looks that bad. . I do have one that I assume my drake injured holding her head on the ground but it was nothing like that. .just a bit scabby and irritated. I used antibiotic ointment for a few days, removed my drake, and it cleared up. If a vet is at all possible that would be best.. If not I would isolate her to keep it clean and put antibiotic ointment on it.
Someone else may have a better solution though. . that is just my thought.
The nearest bird vet is almost an hour away, and I don't have the funds for one right now unfortunately, though that would be the best option for sure

2 drakes and 2 hens. I am in the process of getting more ducks, and I have separated the drakes but slacked off in the past week, which I regret. They have their own spacious duck house but sometimes choose to sleep with the chickens. After closer inspection, It appears the top eyelid has been torn away, and her eye is peeping out from underneath it. The eyelid is still there, but not attached. It is a bloody mess.
Possibly a Chicken attacked her too. My Calls and Chickens are totally separated because my Ducks hate them. I House and free range the two species separated by mesh fence..

My ducks really hate the chickens too, and will chase and nip them, even though they are 1/4 of a fat Buff Orpington!
Yes, I had a huge Orpington land on the Duck Hen in my avatar and injured her neck when the others were chasing the Chickens..She survived without complications..Just change your management I guess..

I want to build a picket fence around the duck coop to keep them separate and out of my garden. Yet another thing on my long list of things to do.

I would clean it as best as you can. See if you can get her to clean herself in the bathtub. Then the tissue will be clean and soft. Put the skin back over the eye. Put neosporin on the eye. Don’t by chance have any pink eye drops or ear drops do you?

If it were mine, I would take the skin once it’s clean off, put it back in place. Put neosporin on it and then wrap the eye/head. And check it 1 or 2 times a day until it’s healed or regroup if it takes a turn for the worse.

I use an electric poultry fence around the Chickens without power to it. Chickens confined as they forage out of the Coop and Run..Calls loose to run around their pens and back area behind the house..

If the eyeball is damaged it will get infection...Figure that out first before trying anything..
I would agree. If the vet isn’t an option, it’s hard to be able to tell. Do you have any ideas?:)

My brain is thinking, I wouldn’t know how to remove the eye. The eye will rot off and recede if it’s too bad. And other than giving oral antibiotics and topical, I’m not sure what else can be done.

I cleaned the area with saline solution, and saw the eyeball clearer. The part showing above the ripped eyelid seems to be whole, I saw the brown ring and pupil, and she sort of blinked it. Should I post more pictures?
