I am 99% sure that I have a roo out of my group of sexed pullets. Thoughts? He is about to be 8 weeks old in two days and is a hatchery Buff Orpington

Really? I’m seeing pullet.
Could you explain why you think it’s a pullet? I though that those sharp and shiny feathers on his neck were a sign of being a cockerel. Plus that comb is reallyyy red with wattles that match. This is my first time with BOs though so I’m genuinely confused:barnie

While the comb is really red and a little large for that age, the feathers say pullet. Therefore, you might just have a quickly developing pullet. Wait a week or two and see what new development occurs. If the comb gets really large and they get pointed hackle and saddle feathers it’s a cockerel. If not, it’s a pullet.

Okay, thank you!

That’s what I thought.
