I have one roo that it doesn't matter what I'm doing, if I go by him, he puffs up and acts like he wants to attack. So before he can do that I take a sick and just point it at him and he looks for a minute then decides he doesn't want any part of that stick and backs off. I'm sure he's just bidding his time and is going to try to to really attack and I when he does it's off to the pot for him.
yep it's why i thank god for fish nets they can't peck what they can't touch

I have some of my younger chickens peck at my toes and such, but none of my roosters will mess with you. I can sit on the ground holding a squawking hen at eye level with my head rooster and he will evil eye me, but that's as far as it goes. I've only had one rooster flog me and it was a little bitty silkie rooster. Lol. So...no harm there, but I gave him away just the same.

So i bought my kids some chicks a few weeks ago. I wasn't really thinking of keeping them long term.
But i have fallen in love,i got a free small shed and now they are staying. Im fixing up the coop, for now they reside in the bathroom. i wanted to get some info or guesses on breed and sex. if anyone can help id appreciate it.
It is a big no no to get chicks FOR your children and not expecting having them around "long term" I just really needed to say that
