Help!! Muscovy wont give up being broody!!!

Help!!

Our hen has been sitting on a nest that we have broken up many times ,only to have her rebuild another one. She will take an egg that the Gray Swedish laid and sit on it. We are past the 35 days !.We lock her out of the shed to try and get her to give it up.She attacks the other female we have until she gets bored.She follows me all over the yard, will come when I call her,lets me pet her even though she snips at me. She would never even let me get near her before she went broody.Her whole personality has changed.Why is she still doing this and how do we get her to stop? Any ideas?? Thank you!!!

Have a real problem.... it's now going on over 2 months.The Muscovy won't come out of the shed.She is sitting on a nest that she repairs if we mess it up.She only comes out once to take a bath .We have tried locking her out ,but at the end of the day she runs right back to the same spot and there she stays.Why is she doing this? Her 36 days is long past and I am starting to be very concerned out her. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much! Denise

For how long have you locked her out of the shed?

When my chicken goes broody, I have to keep her hut locked up for a few days. I've taken her nest and she'll just sit on the floor, so she has to be locked out.
Maybe pull out anything that can be used to make a new nest as well. Keep her locked out every day until she decides it isn't worth the battle.

We keep her out for a full day at a time as we have 2 silkies and another duck that share the sleeping area at night.Once she sees me , she runs to me and follows me around like she knows I am the one to let her back in.

Wanted to add... this battle has been going on for weeks... Her 36 days is long passed.

Lock up the shed during the day and everybody stays out and let them in at night, and then boot her back out the next morning, repeat. It may take many days in a row of locking her out of the shed during the day to break her.

I am doing this with my Muscovy who is on 60days of being broody for the 2nd time

We are on day 9 of booting her out every morning and as soon as I open the door up late afternoon yep she runs and jumps right back in but I am determined to win this battle she needs to get on with her molt before cold weather gets here.

Has your girl got over being broody?
We have a problem with ours... she hasn't gotten over it. We feel there must be something else that's an issue. She bites at me when get near her, grabs my pant legs and shakes them like a dog...( rather comical ) We have tried everything. She sits on the other ducks eggs until I take them away from her. Just don't know what to do. If this lasts all winter we are going to have to find a new home for her.
