I just noticed yesterday one of my 2-3 month old chickens is pooping blood. I've seen her eat and drink but she sits around fluffed up. I've read some info and I'm guessing it's coccidiosis. Can anyone confirm with me if this is it. Also read to use corid for about 5day in the water. Is there anything else I can do? I have 4 babies that are 2-3 months old and I have older hens 1+ years old.

I would start treating for Coccidiosis immediately. Get some Corid liquid or powder from a local feed/animal supply store. I've seen conflicting information on Corid dosage and no longer know which to recommend, but you should be able to find the dosage information by searching around BYC. @casportpony could probably help, too.

That is a lot of blood! I would start treating with Corid ASAP.

  • Powder dose - 1.5 teaspoons per gallon for 5 days, then 1/3 teaspoon per gallon for 7-14 days.
  • Liquid dose- 2 teaspoons per gallon for 5 days, then 1/2 teaspoon per gallon for 7-14 days
Hurry, that bird is very near death.
