I'm sorry, my DD has done this before, (more then once) so I had to laugh. She was 2.

But yes, rubbing alcohol works. Those hand sanitizers (like purell) work really well, too and it usually has a moisturizer built in.

My oldest daughter did this. We were out of the room for 2 minutes, came back and there was Sharpie all over her and her two sisters....

and the couch

and the loveseat

and my chair

and the walls

and the mirror

and their toys

Soap and water got it off them, but not the other stuff. Some of it came off with Magic Eraser. Some is still there. When my daughter sees it, she touches the Sharpie marks and says, "Uh oh. Bad."

LOL

I have to laugh because when my oldest was 3 --she decided that her friend needed to be 'painted' (He was a 'cottontop, w/ the palest white skin w/ not a freckle). So she draws on him EVERYWHERE with purple and green perm markers!! He was wearing a 'football' jersey with tiny holes in the material... So he looked like he had the measels and his hair was green and purple stripes.. Thank goodness his parents --thought it was funny...

We removed it w/ coppertone suntan lotion (I didn't have any other lotion..took several washings but it worked...Mayo might work also...

lol That reminds me of when I came home from work one day. As my coworker was dropping me off my daughter who was 2 at the time had the biggest grin on her face. She also had a pair of my sons socks on pulled up to her thighs. My hubby comes carrying her outside and says look what YOUR daughter did today. He pulled off the socks and both her legs were bright highlighter pink! My coworker couldn't stop laughing and Sierra thought she did something great. Me on the other hand had to ask her dad if he had be watching her? He said of course I was I don't know how this happen!

Since I'm stuck in the house and bored...

I used a Sharpie and wrote on my hand. Let it dry for a while. Put on some vaseline, rubbed it in, let it sit. Wiped it off, then followed up with mild soap - and it came right off.

It would be something to try. I think anything greasy might loosen it up.

When we were kids, we drew clown faces on ourselves with lipstick and I remember the infernal scrubbing we got.
