Help! My baby chick just hatched and the mother isn't accepting it, she keeps attacking the poor baby!

Thank you all for the advice, I've put the baby chick in a brooder and they seem to be getting along fine, once again thank you!

I woke up to find the baby chick dead yesterday, after talking to my father he said the chick was premature and weak to begin with, I thank all of you for your advice along the way but this has deeply saddened me, attached is a picture of the chick. I am only 14 years old, I tried my best to take care of this chick to the best of my ability yet I don't get why he passed away.
