but weve 11 ducks , nd they are being reared free , and i would hate to take away there freedom! we have 3 family dogs that keep away fox's and owl's are too small to take an adult duck away , and there arev no coyotees in ireland! anyway , the hunters said that they will be leaving hunting ducks , as there is no point anymore in a month or two so she is safe! they will probanly take on hunting fox's or rabbits instead!

Well, then, you are taking a risk. If you think you can live with that risk, that's fine. You can't interfere with legal hunting, in most places you can be fined and even thrown in jail for that. So, you either have to restrict your ducks' movements during hunting season, or live with the fact that they may end up shot. There's no other solution.

you see the hunters are leaving as they said there is no point with ducks anymore! there finished , and were the only hunters in our area! and im afraid i couldnt build a pen , as then my horse , chickens , dogs and DUCKS would have less space , and especially my horse , she grazes in our field , with the ducks and chickens and this is our only field so it would be impossible! im building a pen end of!
