My hen has been brooding for about 16-17 days now nonstop and all of a sudden today she left her eggs and went outside with the others and hasn't returned. It's been about 4-5 hours and I'm worried her babies are dead now

It's about 65 degrees here today. I put a heat lamp high up over them to try and help, but how do I get her to come back and lay on them?

If she's truly quit brooding, you can't get her to come back. Your best bet is to get or borrow an incubator ASAP and put the eggs in it. Until then, try to keep them at 101.5 degrees measured at the top the egg and turn them three times a day. If you can do this with the heat lamp there is a chance you can get them to hatch that way, but an incubator will be much better.
