Can you ask your parent and show them this thread to understand why it is needed? If you can feel an egg, then she needs to be soaked in warm water to help pass the egg. She also may need some calcium. Here is an article for them to read:

Soak her in Epson salt! First let the Epson salt dissolve in hot or warm water then stick her rearend in the water for a few minutes and see if any thing comes out. If you don’t see anything come out of her vent keep her in the house till morning to see if she passed the egg or whatever my be stuck in her vent! We just had to do this last night with one of our chickens! But we did not soak her.
