So, for those of you who haven't yet heard, my flock was attacked my some neighborhood dogs on Saturday, killing several and injuring quite a few. I've been doctoring the injured ones. Wiping their wounds and spraying them with Blu-Kote every evening. They seem to be perking up, but the last couple I sprayed threw up! My rooster threw up quite a bit. His crop feels like a not quite full water balloon. I've noticed he hasn't been eating much, but he's gone through quite a lot of water for one little guy. The puke wasn't smelly. It smelled like feed, and was a little brownish. (I'm giving them homemade electrolyte water, which is brown) They have been very stressed and in some pain, obviously as they were ripped up by a pack of dogs. I had them laying in my lap, their feet inbetween my legs with their heads hanging off the end of my knees. You can actually hear the roosters crop slosh when he runs! Is this maybe because they have been drinking a lot? They have been through a ton of water, which I attributed to the heat and their stress. What should I do for them?! I'm kinda flipping out, if you can't tell.
any help would be much appreciated!
