Hello,

I posted on the emergency page but have had no replies. My little chicken has eye damage. It has been separated and is still eating and drinking. I thought it was pecked out but the eye ball is still there. The entire thing looks like it has dropped further into eye socket almost like it is disconnected. I bought terramycin for it last night. He can open it better but the eye still has not mobility. I wanted to give him IM pen g but the stores didn't have small enough syringes. He is only 2 lbs and I would have needed 0.02ml per the packaging.
Attached are some photos.

Thank you,

Betina

I am no expert on eye injuries. It looks as if the swelling around the eye is what you are seeing, not the eyeball sinking into the skull. Maybe a flush with saline? Is this the result of an injury?
Hopefully someone will have other treatments for you. Good luck with your little chicken.

Thanks. I am flushing with NS before the antibiotics cream. I am not sure if it was an injury. He was acting differently and I picked him up and saw his eye.
