I had gone away on vacation with my family and had a neighbor take care of the chickens. But when I came home there was no food or water out for my girls and they had stopped producing eggs it looked as though the guy I had taking care of the girls didn't do anything . It's been little over a week and they still haven't laid and egg. I don't know if I should be worried or not. I'm also at a loss of what to do

Did you question the neighbor? I would have asked how often he checked and if anything had happened as far as a predator or other event while you were gone. I suspect that the chickens were probably neglected, and they stopped laying because they were traumatized by that. Keep plenty of food and water for them and interact with them in such a way that they know YOU are back and in charge, and they may start back up. However, due to the time of year and less sunlight, they may not get back to their former glory until this spring, so don't be surprised if that happens.

    Water and food!
Now have any uncooked corn? Give them a cup of it.
    Clean the nestboxes
Give them a bit of table scraps and bugs.
    Give them love.

    Good luck!
