Yes you are exactly right! After I saw this I went out to check and see if they were rounded and this is what I found!!!After a little fussing with my computer, I was able to get a close up of the photo of the bird in question to demostrate what I mean. Blue outlines the actual feathers. Hope this clarifies.View attachment 2479403
It does when it's looking for danger ( it is 10 times more scared than the others of birds and that ). It kind of seems a bit gangly too as if it still needs to fill out ( it probably doesI will leave it to others here who may be better than I am at this but only the white one gives me pause. No saddle feathers but those hackles concern me a little. Does it stand more upright than the others? If not, pullets around.
Then those feathers are not the classic evidence of maleness. After a little fussing with my computer, I was able to get a close up of the photo of the bird in question to demostrate what I mean. Blue outlines the actual feathers. Hope this clarifies.View attachment 2479403
Exactly, that was the whole point. Then those feathers are not the classic evidence of maleness.
Thank you! I was so sure the white one was a boy though!!! Funny! It looks like you have all pullets they are all very lovely !

- View attachment 2479228Hello again everyone! So, my chicks are 11 weeks old in 2 days and I was wondering if anyone can tell what sex they are yet. Could the buff one be a female? It looks just like the black one in the photos which is definitely a girl. The buff one has got wattles and a rose comb which are red, the black one does not. But then could the buff ones comb be red and the black ones black/grey because of their feather/skin colour? I think the white one definitely a male!!! I appreciate anyone's opinion!!! P:S sorry for all the photos, it's helps I think having more pictures to work with☺. The buff one just doesn't look male apart from it's redness!View attachment 2479229View attachment 2479230View attachment 2479231View attachment 2479232View attachment 2479233View attachment 2479235View attachment 2479237View attachment 2479238View attachment 2479239View attachment 2479240View attachment 2479241View attachment 2479242View attachment 2479243View attachment 2479244View attachment 2479245View attachment 2479246View attachment 2479247
