hello all, i have tow ducks, that are about 4-5 weeks old, named hikaru and Kaoru, and they are domesticated. i live on 2 and a half acres, and we have a pond, so since it is close to where our house is, they have a pen, that is big enough for them to walk around in, and have a little house. today when i came home, i went to check on them, and hikaru is bleeding on the wings, neck, the top of the bill, and has redness around the eyes. we have no idea how this happened. their pen is tall enough to keep animals away, and we have a fence to prevent them from going in the pond unless we are with them, since they are still getting their fathers. Kaoru is fine, but what do i do? id rather not go to a vet, but if i have to i can. thank you in advance.

Sounds like something got in the pen or the duck got stuck in the fence.

Bring Hikaru inside and put in a warm tub and get him cleaned up. Check him all over and make sure you have found all wounds. Once cleaned, up, depending on the extent of the wounds, you will need to put something on them. Tractor Supply sells stuff you can spray on or you can use an antibiotic cream without pain meds in it.
