This is my first clutch of eggs for myself & my hen. She seems to be doing fine but one last egg remains..and is peeping!!! Is this normal?

Yes, it means it'll hatch soon. LEAVE MOM AND THE EGG AND BABIES ALONE. They'll be fine. She knows what to do.

Here's a thread with a good example of what can happen if you interfere. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=192179

I
rare instances, intervention is called for if hatching in an incubator, or if mom leaves the eggs before they all finish. Otherwise, let her do what hens are designed to do.

*Whew!* We moved Ruby (and the 9 babies!)

into the house we built because Roger seemed to be acting aggressive towards her and the chicks. My daughter & I started to move the two remaining eggs as well & heard one peeping. Im glad I hopped on here before "helping nature along".
