I went out this morning to check on my chickens and noticed that my roosters eye/face was swollen and bulging out. I can't see his eye at all but when i touched it, it didn't seem to hurt him to badly. I don't really know how i would approach this. It is possible that i was swollen last night as well. He is about 8 months old and is a white wyandotte. I have 2 other roosters so it might have been one of them? A while ago he had blood all over his neck but i never found a wound on him or the other roosters, and i have never seen them fight, or even peck each other.
Thanks.

Do you have an idea of what might have caused it?
MG is one Disease that chickens can get that will make swelling in the sinuses.

Coryza is another, it makes large amounts of pus causing swelling in the eye portion of the sinuses.

Irritation in the sinuses, fungus, or dust.

Eye injury can present like this too. But an obvious injury will be noticed once swelling is down.

These are a few possibilities.

I suggest looking into his mouth as suggested, if you don’t see anything, then he most likely has the swelling from inside the sinus cavity. Infectious Coryza can cause this and the swelling that you see, is normally hardened or softened pus built-up that’ll need to be manually removed.

His mouth is swollen but it seems kind of like the swelling pushed into his mouth.
