Help My silkie she has wry neck ! She is back outside picture update

You were so much help, she seem real healthy accept the little clear runny nose other than that very active eating good and poop looks good. Think I should try antiobiotic? I do have Terramycin and Duramycin-10. If so how much would I put in a quart of water. The directions are confusing. I sure would like to breed, maybe in the spring? Do you think he would be a good breeder? Does he have to much red in his comb? Don't know much about breeding. Also have some black tail Japanese bantys w/2 mille d'fleurs I would like to breed in in the Spring of next year.

I know little of the silky standard, but I'd just go by the literal bantam standard and see what it says. As for the nose, just try cod liver oil a couple of times a week for a while - a couple of drops from a capsule. I wouldn't retreat I don't believe - I don't like antibiotics unless there's a clear need for them. They do more harm than good.

Nice looking flock.

Obviously well loved.

I recently got a silkie chick that came with wry neck (on sunday) - I didn't know there was such a thing as these are my first silkies.

She's 8 weeks old and and it was really mild at first (just tucked her beak to her neck) - I started the polyvisol 3 days ago . I'm having a hard time getting the vitamin b & e into her (tried scrambled eggs & bread, but when I separate her she gets very stressed. I even tried just putting her in a bird cage in her pen with the other chicks around and she is still very upset and won't eat her meds.

She is eating and drinking on her own but her symptoms are getting worse - she is tucking her head and flailing backwards - but this too seems to only happen when she's spooked.

My vet wanted me to give her tetracycline - would it hurt to give this? - I know the downfall is that she'd need a probios and it can't be yogurt.

For Vitamin E. I started using the gel caps and cutting the tips and squirting the oil out- has anyone used liquid e? (walgreens claims to have oral approved Vit. E Oil) Can I just drop this on her beak as well or does she have to eat it?

The only other "odd" symptom is that she is breathing heavier than the others - I can't tell if this is only from me stressing her out, or if it's part of the symptom.
