help needed asap: update-video

The poop is due to the sulmet. I would put a bloop in the chick's water as well. If they poop green diarrahea you have a problem.

ETA: the sulmet will treat any bacterial illness, just a little goes a long way.

White and green poop is an indicator of illness.

i will do that.
i did some research and it almost sounds like gapeworm. i will be posting a video of the bird doing the beak thing shortly so please check back
smile.png

here is the link. this is the same thing the quail are doing. he does it at around 5 seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtbOlwyYSzY
and
the birds do this at least once every 5 minutes. they also do a little head shaking thing. starting to feel thin even though they've been eating.

OK MAYBE I MISSED IT... BUT I WATCHED THE VIDEO NUMEROUS TIMES AND I DIDNT SEE ANYTHING OTHER THAN A CALM BIRD WONDERING WHAT IN THE WORLD YOU'RE DOING WITH THAT CAMERA??

GAPEWORMS... BIGGEST PROBLEM I HAVE WITH THIS IS HOW? FOR ALL BIRDS TO BE EXHIBITING GAPE WORMS THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE IN THE SAME PEN TOGATHER...

it's at around 6 or 7 seconds very subtle but it's definitely something. also they keep yawning. i'm really starting to think it's gapeworms. well the pigeons are all together and the buttons were semi close to them for awhile. could it somehow travel?

Parasites (gapeworm) Would Be Direct Contact With Contaminated Feces From The Host Bird/ Birds--- No It Cant Travel, And Any Gapeworm Cases I Have Ever Seen Dont Look Anything As Subtle As What You Have On Video

i have used the homing pigeon carrier case for transfering quail a few times and sometimes the pigeons poop in that, but that's the only way they've been in contact.. the video doesn't do it justice, it's worse than that but i couldn't get him to do it while i was filming.. would i be able to treat for parasites while they are on sulmet? the quail are about 6 weeks old and i have some 6 week old pigeons as well.

--10% fenbendazole OR SAFEGUARD HORSE AND GOAT WORMER... MIXED 1OZ PER 15LBS OF FEED (PASTE FORM--- MIX OR THIN WITH WATER THEN ADD TO FEED TO FORM A MASH--- THIS IS ALL THEY GET TO EAT FOR THE NEXT 24HRS) REPEAT IN 14 DAYS

--WAZINE AS DIRECTED ON THE BACK OF THE BOTTLE (MIXED WITH DRINKING WATER)

CANT TELL YOU IF OR HOW EITHER WILL REACT WHEN MIXED WITH SOLUMET

--ANOTHER OPTION THO I AM UNSURE OF EFFECTIVENESS FOR GAPE WORMS (I KNOW IT WORKS ON INTESTINAL PARASITES BUT NOT SURE OF GAPES) IS RAW FRESH PUMPKIN - THE WHOLE FRUIT... SEEDS/ GUTS/ PEEL AND ALL. (MUST BE RAW FRESH UNPROCESSED BY COLD/HEAT PUMPKIN-- NO CANNED, NO COOKED, NO FROZEN) PUMPKIN CONTAINS A NATURAL ENZYME IN ITS NATURAL RAW FORM THAT WORKS JUST AS ALL CHEMICAL COMMERCIAL WORMERS DUE- THEY PARYLIZE THE PARASTIES AND THIS ALLOWS THE BIRDS BODY TO POO THEM OUT...

ULTIMATELY YOU'D MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO PICK 1 AND TREAT FOR THAT SPECIFICALLY-- INFECTION VS PARASITE

Have you heard of Ivermectin 1%? I know pigeons can have that simultaneously with sulmet but i'm unsure if button quail can have Ivermectin or what the dosage would be.
