Help Needed-Bumblefoot in my pekin duck

Yes I have a big boy pekin drake named Aflac! He had an awful case as I'm sure you've seen on my thread! It was so awful and it truly took blood sweat and tears and a lot of time, actually he is STILL HEALING! And it's been four months of treatment. It takes some time but it's well worth it. Just give it the time and effort and be patient and I'm here if you have any questions! Here's my boy :) got his lil bandages on cause he's still healing, we both wish you and your baby the best of luck!
Thank you! I have read through the entire 64 pages of your thread and I now have a better understanding overall of this process. Thank you for sharing, glad to hear that your Alfac has come so far and is doing well! I will definitely reach out to you if I happen to have any questions/concerns. I plan to pick up the iodine and start that very soon and that seems to be the only thing I haven't tried thus far. Thanks again!

Of course! Anytime! Just shoot me a message or write me on this thread :) it was a very long thread haha sorry you had to read it all, I had a hard time there for a while and was so confused at times but you can really see the whole thought process and the progress! Thank you so much, Aflac went through so much pain and so much but he's been so strong the whole way and I'm proud of him. :) yes try that and let us know what happens!!

Is there any harm in eating their eggs while being treated for bumblefoot? Also to clarify, bumblefoot doesn't necessarily mean they have a staph infection correct? As I spoke to the hatchery I got my ducks through and they said it's not very likely. I'm getting mixed opinions on this.

Yes, you can eat the eggs fine... unless you have to put them on an oral antibiotic, some that are really, really bad need that...

As for the staph, it is quite common actually for staph to be on their skin of their feet, due to stepping in poop, etc... not all bumble is staph, but many times it is... just assume it is and take necessary precautions and you'll be fine...
