help needed fast what to do with chick that hatches early

he was the first to pip but the fifth to hatch he is smaller than the others and still has yolk attached hes still partially in the egg what do i do wrap him a warm towel and put him back???im worried the other chicks will hurt him they were due today so hes not early but looks really early



he has yellow hard stuff on 1 of his eyes how do i get it off!!!!!!!!!?????????? help!!!!!!

Leave it in the bator. Don't open the bator!!!


Chicks hatch at different times and are different sizes. Once the hatch is complete you can decide if the chick needs extra care. Until then KEEP THE BATOR CLOSED.



If the hatch is complete then just let them be in the brooder. Most stuff will dry and fall off within 24 hours. After that you can use a damp paper towel to remove anything still stuck on.

where he hatched there is darl gunk all over the incubator and all over him

Chances are the little chick won't make it. If you open the bator you may hurt the chicks that haven't hatched yet.

If you decide to open the bator then take out the healthy chicks and leave the runt in the bator. The others can go in the brooder at any time.

How long can chicks live in the bator without food a water, do
you leave them in thier until all eggs are hatched? this could
be like five days...eggs are slow to hatch.
One hatched on friday and it's now sunday.

If there is a spread of 5 days than something is going wrong or you have different breeds in the bator.

I'll usually wait until the majority of eggs have hatches, pull the chicks out, and give the remaining eggs some time to hatch.

i woke up this morning and he is still alive but him and 1 other have curled in toes...i guess this is called spraddled led?? i think i read that you make a shoe for them but how am i suppose to get a piece of tape and cardboard that little

Check your temps too. I have a feeling you were a little on the warm side.
