Help needed please.

I would post in the hatching forum, there are several people on there who will talk you through. You were right to assist, just don’t be in a hurry -slow and steady! He needs time for the blood vessels to shrink. My favorite drake was an upside down pipper who I assist hatched. It took me many hours!

Oooo thank you I will try that.
I kind of just in a mad rush made a post without even thinking where to put it.

Definitely remove the wet paper from it because it actually draws out moisture..
Try slowly to remove the shell and rubbery membrane. If duckling is struggling then assist it. Stop if any real blood shows
Paper removed.
He has started kind of chattering his beak as if he is trying to get hold of the membrane. Is this possible panic or what he should be doing

Now this says a bit different from another article I read on here. This is saying to wait much longer before assisting as opposed to 8-10hrs for a maloositioned egg. I waited 24hrs. Hope I wasn’t too soon
Well best to wait and a Duckling that is ready gets struggling. It's got air so keep waiting.
