I will see about getting an incandescent bulb for my desk lamp tomorrow. Then I can put then in the large deep tray I have. Already have a chick feeder and for water for them. Slso shredded adpen for bedding
 
Sorry the desk lamp has this bulb in. But only a 7w

So sorry you had to kill the chicks :hugsI wouldn't have been able to!
If it came to a choice of not letting them suffer or suffering, you'd choose the latter? Let them die a slow and painful death? It's surprising what a person can do when it comes down to it.

@nightingale5151 - With your chicks sing so late to hatch and having the two deformed ones, I am thinking your temps during incubation were low. I would suggest you calibrate your thermometer before attempting another hatch.
 
Sooo sorry youve had to go through this with a first attempt to hatch. :hugs
It's a difficult task to end their suffering but you are to be commended for doing it. It's a jobe none of us enjoy but it's what's best for them sometimes.
If you'll let her, bobby-j can hopefully help you get your incubating all sorted out so you can try again. It's a learning process, keep trying and you will learn and have healthy chicks in no time. :hugs
