If it came to a choice of not letting them suffer or suffering, you'd choose the latter? Let them die a slow and painful death? It's surprising what a person can do when it comes down to it.

@nightingale5151 - With your chicks sing so late to hatch and having the two deformed ones, I am thinking your temps during incubation were low. I would suggest you calibrate your thermometer before attempting another hatch.
Omg the temperature.I was told 37° and I only had it on 36.5°.
Plus checked this morning and one chick had died. That one was wslking but then had problems. Jist glad I didnt have to do anything

3.
Another died this morning. Temperature is up to 37° now.
one of the 3 remaining chicks has started to have difficulty walking and flops to it's side.
just hope I don't have to do what I had to doyesterday
The other 2 are great.

So you’re down to two? You really need to get them out of that incubator ASAP.

For future reference, and for anyone considering hatching, please read the Hatching 101 thread and also have your brooder planned and ready before you ever set those eggs. Chicks can survive for about 72 hours after hatch, but if you have the ability to put them in a brooder as soon as they fluff up, you really should move them so they can have constant access to food and water.

I have food in and take them out regularly to give them a drink.
if I kept the water in it would only vapourise
they are doing really well.
should get brooder kit tomorrow or Wednesday.
sooner the better

Those chicks really need to be out of the incubator. They need to be breathing unrestricted air now. I understand you don't have any way to keep them warm, but I would try the bendable desk lamp, Or at least prop the lid open on the incubator! Even if they can climb out, can you make some type of pen where they can come out of the incubator for food and water, but crawl back in for warmth?
