HELP!!!!! NEEDING ADVICE AND HELP ON DUCK EGG INCUBATING 25-30??

Not even gonna lie, but having gone through the entire experience with him from a beating heart in his shell to hatching yesterday kind of makes me feel like I’m his mama! Ya know??? So how could I not keep his sweet self! Haha and I think he’s either use to hearing “hi baby” from me talking to him while in his shell or thinks it’s his name because when he gets to chirping and even dead sleep if I say it (not to him but my daughter or other fur babies) he comes running it wakes up each time! Jumping and trying to flap his little bitty arms!! It’s the most precious thing!! This was an unforgettable experience !!

Hey.... I have a question/concern?! I’m pretty sure this hasn’t been like this long, and I’m not quite sure as to what caused it or if it’s normal or what. But, little ones neck seems swollen, any ideas as to what this could be?

The area on the front of the neck/chest? It’s a pocket where they store food, similar to a chicken crop, but not a true crop in ducks. They process the food overnight.
It means she is eating well!

When it comes to poultry, no question is a stupid one. Feel free to ask, being a nervous wreck won't help anyone, especially not your little duckling Have you had any luck finding a friend? Metzer farms have day olds available, and have a minimum order of two! It's perfect!(Ducks are VERY social animals, and need company, so you'll need to get your bubba some friend ASAP!)

Darn. Well it turns out that none from Metzer are available until the 22nd...
I'm looking around.
Okay. It seems that the next time any duckies are available is the 22nd. That should be fine, but if you are going to order from a hatchery, I'd go with Metzer, a minimum order of two ducklings is the least you can get, whereas at most others it's 25.

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing well!!
I’ve spent the past couple days searching high and low for a duckling, Facebook, BYC, Flea markets, everywhere... and no such luck. I checked out the website suggested several days ago, and it was slightly disheartening because I can’t just buy 1, and shipping chargers (2 of them) added up to nearly $75. So I haven’t used that option just yet. However, I did come across and baby chick, who mind you was all alone as well, and yea... I couldn’t leave him lonely either!! So now I have a ducky and a chicky! And lemme just say, they are the best of buds! Wiggles, will swim while burbur (idk but his name is Burberry but we call him burbur for short) eats or vice versa, the ducky will drop food on to him and chase him around trying to eat the crumbs they are so cute!! So, I wanted to share that update with you all!
Secondly, I came across another egg from a friend of a friend of mine who didn’t want to devote the time and effort into incubating it so I took it. After noticing a couple cracks I sealed it with candle wax, and then candles it.. and it seems the airsac is upside down, and I’m not sure if it’ll make it or if it’s ok now. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated!! Also it’s moving around in the shell, so it seems to still be developing

So happy you found a friend. A chick is better than nothing! Glad they became fast friends.

The developing egg looks good. Maybe 2 weeks to go. I don’t see the air cell on the wrong end though.
And if the candle wax melts off, try paper medical tape, or even scotch tape.
