Hi all! New to chickens!
I purchased (what I was told) 3 Sapphire Olive Eggers. I understand this is a hybrid and could be a mix of many different breeds.
I got them at about 3 weeks so they are just starting to lay. Looks like the first is laying a light greenish/blue egg...is this part of the range of colors olive Eggers can lay?

Should I bring this to the attention of where I bought them from? Or is this the luck of genetics?
I'm not too mad either way, moreso disappointed but I would like to let the place I got them from know they aren't laying olive eggs 😢

TIA!

More easter egger than olive egger then, eh? You have a lovely color assortment. I love a mixed basket.

For the record, I have a hen I call my "Whiting False Green" because she is a Whiting True Green who lays light brown eggs.
Fascinating stuff genetics is!
Definitely more easter egger style they are, love them the same! I think it will definitely make my dozens more beautiful 🙂
