Help on cause of death for my hen

My dad thought the same thing lol. Once they are named they are to stay lmbo. I'm sure your 5 year old will make it to that old. You sound like a great chicken mama.

We are actually really close in age! I swear on here I'm always talking to someone 3x my age (no offence to all of my friends here!) I have a lot of the same fears and worries about being away from my babies and for when i finally move out. I honestly will have to have chickens no matter where I live. Even if my rooster becomes a house chicken.
Yeah haha at this point there’s no way he could kill any of them, I think he secretly likes them. He likes the derpy things they do  aww thank you! And so do you!

Yes same! I have a couple friends close in age on here and some who are a 10-20 years older but we still enjoy each other, but usually I assume people are older. Yes me too, I’m always going to have chickens! They’ve become such a special part of my life, whenever I see a chicken anywhere I’m like ooh I want it. A lot of people are scared of them or think they’re dumb and don’t have personality but I think chickens are the most fascinating pet I have ever had.

Ikr Chickens all have such different personalities and no to look alike. It's crazy and unless you spend a lot of time with chickens I don't think anyone would get how special that are.

Also are we friends now? I would like to be friends.

I’ve spent hours with mine! People are always like “how can you tell them apart” and I’m like, just like you tell your own children apart haha  they are all different. I’ve had a couple who love sitting on my lap (Christina was one of them) and I always form a special bond with those.

Yes!! I would also like to be friends! :D

This was my favorite picture of Christina, I’m going to enter it into the calendar next year. I am glad I got a lot of pretty pictures of her this year.

Aww she is so pretty!

I love when I have cuddle chickens. I have a roo named Zeppelin and he loves to be carried like a baby to be on my shoulder when I walk around.
Thank you! Dad said she was like the Queen of England, always so perfectly clean and white and just so neatly arranged. She was also at the top of the pecking order but in a stately sort of way, not mean, just in charge.

Oh I chatted with you about him before! On the thread where you talked about him liking to cuddle and sit on your shoulder. I had one hen named Henrietta (one of my original 8) who would yank on the hem of my pants until I crouched down for her to climb onto my lap. I miss her so much!

That's so funny I didn't realize. Also isn't it odd no one else has showed up here yet? Good thing though cause otherwise we wouldn't have probably connected like this. I have a very light lavender orpington named Hazel but I swear she can't stay clean for more than a week the naughty thing lol.

Also an odd question but do you listen to girl in red?

I know! I got some reassuring and kind words that made sense about it on my thread about her being sick from the person helping me out for the past week or so, which basically covered most of my concerns.

I have ALWAYS wanted a lavender (or splash) colored bird. Maybe this spring when I get more chicks! So many breeds but not enough space!

No I have never listened to girl in red, is that a singer/band? I’ve actually never heard of them
Hey! how did the netting work? Did he stay in?
Yes! Both ducks (even though they tried their hardest to escape) stayed right where they belong
