HELP Paralyzed rooster unable to lift head

I woke up and checked on him roughly 39 minutes ago and not only was he very much alive he actually showed interest in eating on his own!!!! Only problem was... He wasn't opening his beak... But his bad eye was half open this morning!!!

He also started flapping around a little in an attempt to get out of his thing, sadly his legs aren't working well enough yet
Swelling that pressures on nerves and vertebrae can take quite a few days to go down and allow for decompression of the impaired nerves. So patience is key when a bird was injured and appears to be paralyzed. Chickens are very resilient and often make a full recovery

It sounds like he is improving. Does it look like his beak could be injured or fractured? Does he open it and crow? If you can give a little extra vitamin E up to 400 IU, that might help his neurological problem, wry neck or torticolis. Poultry Cell does contain some, but not enough to treat wry neck.

He's started slightly opening it and holding pellets in his mouth and shuffling them around but he keeps dropping them. He doesn't seem to have any beak injuries

He isn't crowing but he is making alarm calls in response to when others in the flock do it.

I've been mixing nutritional yeast with egg yolk and half a millilitre of poultry cell when I feed him

I went outside to check on him this morning and to my absolute surprise not only was he alive and well, but he has actually gotten up and had moved across the greenhouse!!! He can only move two or three steps at a time before laying down and resting. His stools are very healthy looking so I know he's been eating. He definitely doesn't feel comfortable eating around me for some reason though. I caught him trying to eat when I had left the green house for a while and saw him through the window. Idk if he's drinking enough though. I did dip his beak in the bowl of water I have in the greenhouse for him, but he kinda just looked at me confused.

I would cook or scramble the egg. It will be easier to eat and less messy. Glad that he is improving and eating. If you add water to a small amount of his food, he may eat that and get mire fluids. A rooster could handle up to 2-3 ml of Poultry Cell daily. Vitamin E works to treat neurological problems. 400 IU daily is a good dose. Chopped almond, sunflower seed, spinach and collard greens have vitamin E.

He is such a handsome fellow and I hope he makes a full recovery for you. It sounds like he's turning the corner to happier days. Best wishes.
