Help!! Peachick externally pipped in middle of egg!

So I just went and checked on it and there is not visible progress on zipping but tjere is still movement and I can now hear chirping! I'm thinking leave it alone for a while and see what happens over the next several hours.
Woot! I'd leave it be for now.
Just sit and watch, for now.

It appears to me that the humidity was too high and not enough moisture was lost during the incubation process. Normally they will drown as soon as they pip internally so keep the pip hole up and hope for the best. I would give it more than the standard 24 hours before intervening.

I did place the pip hole up last night as soon as I saw the pip. I do plan on waiting before intervening for sure especially since it has made a slight show of progress since it went from not chirping to now chirping this morning, so hopefully this will be a happy outcome. The new air cell line from last night was showing quite a large area, so I'm hoping it doesn't drown. Sitting on pins and needles for now :fl

So the chick is still alive and chirping. This morning the only progress I see is there is a small hole in the membrane where the pip hole is and I can occasionally see its beak moving around. I'm going to leave it alone still to see if it can make any progress because I would hate to assist too early. Today is day 28 so hopefully by the end of today this chick will hatch
