About 3 weeks ago the first hen seemed to have sour/impacted crop and stopped laying. I treated her and she still is not eating or drinking the same or laying. Then the other day I noticed another hen sitting away from the flock and her comb is smaller then the others. I have watched her closely and she is not eating like the others. She has stopped laying 4 days ago. The other hens are being mean to her now. I feed them fermented layer feed and some treats. What should I do I don't want the others to get sick.

Anyone. I was thinking of a de-wormer. I just don't like to withdrawl time.

I am dealing with a similar problem. First one died, then another. I hadn't noticed anything wrong. When I look closer I can see that some of my chickens have snotty beaks and their combs are light in color and hanging over. I am on day 6 of 10 days of Terra-Vet in their water. (1 TBSP to 1 Gallon, along with a capful of wormer) They seem better, but I still have some snotty beaks in my flock. I have also cleaned out their run and coop and put fresh straw in the nesting boxes. I just switched to sand in their outside run and shavings on the floor near the coop. I also feed them lots of fresh veggies and anything from the kitchen I can find.

I'm sorry to hear about your girl.

What is her poop like? Does she have a yellow cooked yolk-like substance stuck to her vent feathers? How is her weight? Could she have eaten anything toxic?

Last summer, one of my BSLs ate spray foam insulation. She had impacted crop-like symptoms. I treated her for an impacted crop, but what I did was force the insulation to empty into her body.

She withdrew, puffed up, and was lethargic. I brought her to our avian specialist who treated her with antibiotics and an anti-inflamitory. She bounced right back.
